Billy Buttons Therapy provides Occupational Therapy services with a strong focus on family centered practice. We encourage parents and carers to be in our sessions so that they can continue to practice what we teach.
We support children and families to work through challenges by facilitating a fun and safe space where children are engaged and motivated. We break down tasks to create the 'just right challenge' enabling children to develop the skills and confidence needed to participate in everyday activities.
We are here to help you navigate services and connect with your community, so you and your child can feel truly supported.
At Billy Buttons Therapy we also offer Early Childhood Intervention Services under the Key Worker model.
We currently provide services to NDIS funded families (Self-Managed and Plan-Managed participants) and privately funded families.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Stephanie completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2012 and has been working as an Occupational Therapist with children ever since. Stephanie brings a wealth of knowledge with her 12+ years of Paediatric Occupational Therapy experience.
Stephanie is extremely passionate about providing a service where families feel well supported and able to share any of their concerns, no matter how big or small. Stephanie most enjoys seeing children and their families thrive and living life to the fullest.
When not at work, Stephanie loves going on adventures with her husband and children, growing her own fruit and veggies, and spending time outdoors with animals.
Stephanie has a strong interest in finding ways to engage all children. Most children respond well to an indoor therapy program, but for some the clinical environment may not be as effective or motivating for them to achieve their goals. Stephanie is determined to find a way for all children to have access and strive for a better future.
In 2022, Stephanie completed a certificate in animal assisted therapy for healthcare professionals. Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a type of therapy that involves animals as part of the treatment and has been shown to have many positive benefits. Stephanie is looking forward to providing AAT as part of Billy Buttons Therapy services in the future.

Our Key Worker has extensive experience supporting children and their families having worked with children for many years, including 7+ years as a Key Worker in Early Childhood Intervention.
Occupational Therapy focuses on your child’s strengths while helping to overcome challenges they are experiencing in many areas of development including learning, play, attention, emotions, sensory processing, social interactions, fine and gross motor skills. Occupational Therapists identify the underlying factors which are contributing to the challenges and provide support to enable your child to participate and build new skills.
Parents often question whether their child’s skills are appropriate for their age. We are here to answer any questions you have and provide guidance on whether occupational therapy is the right fit for your child.
Occupational Therapists are university trained and qualified to assess and support the development of specialised skills in children who are experiencing challenges in their development, learning and behaviour. Occupational Therapists are highly skilled at breaking down tasks and engaging children to reach their goals, increase their confidence and feel success. Occupational Therapists use everyday routines and play-based activities to achieve this.
There are a variety of funding options available for eligible families including NDIS funding, Private Health and Medicare Rebates.
